Search the grid
Find every term from the three categories — weapons, places and motives — hidden in the letter grid, and cross it out.

Name the culprit
In each category exactly one word is missing from the grid — that is the solution: the weapon, the place, the motive. Then collect the leftover, uncrossed letters: rearranged, they spell the culprit's name.
